Blockchain technology is a revolutionary technology for its potential to build systems where

strangers can transact with each other without the need of any intermediary to oversee the

transaction between the parties. In traditional work/degree certificate system, employers need

to trust the intermediaries e.g. certificate holder, organization’s officials for the legitimacy of the certificate. Because of trust, there are vulnerabilities to fraudulent activities by the

intermediaries’ to produce fake diplomas or fake/degree certificates. Fake certificates cause

significant damages to the society. We at Avenoir developed a production level application of a blockchain-based certificate system where blockchain technology replaces the need of trust on intermediaries in the certificate system and prevent the fraudulent activities to produce fake or illegitimate certificate.

Certification system takes the credentials of the certificate such as person’s name, organization’s name, duration etc. as the input and automatically generate a certificate in PDF format. Whenever an employer receives work/degree certificate, they can verify the credentials in three different ways. On receiving a soft copy of certificate, they can just upload the pdf on our website or they can just click on the link in the certificate to see original credentials stored in the certificate. On receiving a hard copy, they can just scan the QR code on certificate to see original credentials. It’s that simple! This system can be extended to NDAs, mutual agreements, financial transactions and every other important document. Using this system, organizations can truly revolutionize in terms of trust, security and self-sovereignty.
